About me
I am a botanical artist, floral designer and tutor based in Brighton, creating nature-inspired artwork and handcrafted floral pieces. My journey into botanical art began after a 30-year career in education when I discovered a love for painting and mixed media. A floristry course sparked my passion for working with flowers, leading me to explore foraging and the restorative connection between nature and creativity.
I work with pressed flowers, water colours, acrylics and inks to create unique mixed media pieces, drawing inspiration from the countryside and seasonal blooms from Brighton and Hove’s flower growers. Alongside my artwork, I craft flower crowns, wreaths and home decor using sustainable and locally sourced materials, including willow.
At my happiest, you’ll find me wandering through the Sussex countryside, gathering florals, or immersed in my studio, transforming natural elements into art. Through my workshops, I love sharing this creative journey, helping others connect with the beauty of botanicals.
